Following the communication published by GME on 10/11/2023 market participants are informed that, as of today, with the publication on our website, the amendments to the “Rules Governing the Operation of the Regulated Market and of the Platform for Registration of Bilaterals of Guarantees of Origin” (P-GO Rules) have entered into force. The P-GO Rules have been amended in order to: i) implement the provisions of the Decree of the Minister of Environment and Energy Security no. 224 of 14 July 2023 (Decree); ii) introduce the provisions referred to in point 5) of ARERA Resolution 496/2023/R/COM of 31 October 2023.
In particular, the amendments are aimed at introducing, within the P-GO systems (M-GO/PB-GO), the activities of trading and registration of the additional types of GOs for electricity and gas, including biomethane, introduced by the above-mentioned Decree, as well as at specifying the amendment procedure in case of compliance to binding legal and/or regulatory provisions.
As of today, the updated versions of Technical Rules nos 02, 03, 05, 06 and 07, i.e. the implementing and procedural provisions of the P-GO Rules, have also entered into force. These updated versions of the Technical Rules fully replace the previous versions published on GME website.
