How to Participate
The Electricity Market is managed through an IT system to which market participants have access via the Internet.
Access to the Electricity Market IT system takes place through security procedures characterised by digital identification tools and smart cards, designed to guarantee the authentication of the electronic signature and, therefore, the conclusion of electricity purchase contracts. The digital certificate for market access can be issued by Agid-certified certification companies and must comply with the provisions of the DigitPA Resolution - Digit PA - NO. 45 of 21 May 2009 as subsequently amended and supplemented (Commissioner Order no. 69-2010).
The market is managed from GME's trading room where all the computer equipment that allows the collection and management of transactions is installed, under conditions of maximum security.
The market sessions take place at the times and according to the schedule indicated in Technical Rule n. 3 MPE.MPEG sessions take place on weekdays (Technical Rule no. 01 ME), as specified below:
The MTE sessions are held from Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 17:30, except on the second-to-last open market day of each month, when the closing time of the session is brought forward to 14:00.

The maximum number of block bids/offers is allocated among participants under the criteria referred to in Technical Rule no. 05 MPE.
